Good Replacement Transmission for the Price

I picked up this transmission assembly for my Bolens/Craftsman snow blower and overall it fit pretty well. Installation wasn’t too bad, but I did run into one hiccup — the original drive cable wouldn’t fully engage because the spring was a little too big and kept hitting the plastic. I ended up having to grab a new cable to make everything work smoothly. Bit of a hassle, but once that was sorted out, the drive worked great. The old transmission on my machine was basically done for. When I opened it up, one of the gears was completely worn down to bronze dust, so there was no saving it. This replacement dropped right in and had the blower driving again without any issues. I can’t speak to long-term durability yet, but for the price and ease of install, it’s a solid option if your old transmission is shot. So far, it’s doing exactly what it should.
