It was the correct fit for my Accord '98, yay !

Alright, this was a great experience. Customer communication was excellent. Got the part matched and confirmed with the can VIN. Took about 10 days to receive but it was worth the waiting time. Meanwhile I studied the car electronics and got the electric specifications as the car was stopped and running. With that, I built a PWM circuit using a NE555 and TIP29 as driver to exactly emulate the car. I used an small oscilloscope to make sure the PWM was about 200hz, even though in the car it is 244Hz, no big deal - it just needs to be pulsed. When the part arrived I connected it to the test circuit and got exactly what was expected, with the valve opening and closing as the PWM cycled more to the +12 or more to 0v - mind you, when closer to +12, the valve is closes and no current goes through it: it is the normal operation once the engine is warmed up. So once I got everything matched, it was a matter of reinstalling it and the car is finally smooth again. The two other that ordered from amazon were a dud: the first one had an open circuit; the second one was the worst as it caused the connector to go up in smokes; Luckily for me, the connector on the bad valve came loose and cut the current: I just had to pull the connector off of the car connector and no other harm was done. After the bad experience with the amazon parts, I had a good exchange of information with Jesse from FridayParts support, everything was great. Will definitely recommend.
